Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Policy

FACE believes that it is always unacceptable for a child, young person or adult at risk (previously known as vulnerable adult) to experience abuse of any kind and recognises its responsibility to safeguard the welfare of these vulnerable groups, by a commitment to practice which protects them.

We recognise that:

• The welfare of children, young people and adults at risk is paramount.

• All children, regardless of age, disability, gender, gender reassignment, pregnancy and maternity, marriage and civil partnership, race, religion and/or sexual orientation (defined as Protected Characteristics within the Equality Act 2010) have the right to equal protection from all types of harm or abuse.

• Working in partnership with vulnerable groups, and their family or support network is essential in promoting and embedding our policy.
